Your HTML site worked. Here's what it's costing you now.

Static HTML is the oldest, most reliable way to build a website. It's also the reason WordPress was invented — to give business owners a real way to manage their own content without a developer on speed dial.

Every change requires a developer.

Blog post? Developer. New service page? Developer. Updated phone number? Developer. Every edit is billable hours — typically $50–$150/hr — and the lead time means your site never reflects what your business is doing right now. WordPress puts editing control in your hands, not your developer's inbox.

Old HTML sites are aging out of modern web standards.

Sites built before 2018 often aren't truly mobile responsive, use dated CSS patterns, lack HTML5 semantics, and miss modern SEO fundamentals — schema markup, proper meta tags, XML sitemaps, Open Graph. Google ranks modern sites higher. Visitors trust modern sites more. A conversion is a good time to bring the site up to current standards.

There's no CMS, no backup, no security updates.

Static HTML is just files on a server. If the hosting fails, content is gone. No blog, no contact form, no analytics beyond a pasted tag, no SEO plugin, no way to add a course or store later. WordPress ships with all of that — plus automatic updates, daily backups, and real security.

Sound familiar? This is our most common migration — and usually our fastest.

What you get with an HTML to WordPress conversion

Every conversion includes the full stack — not as add-ons. Your design, your content, mobile responsiveness, CMS, SEO, and the freedom to add features as your business grows.

Pixel-accurate WordPress rebuild (Elementor or Gutenberg — your choice)
Works with: pure HTML/CSS, Bootstrap, Foundation, Tailwind, custom frameworks
Template marketplace HTML (ThemeForest, TemplateMonster, HTML5Up) fully supported
Mobile responsive rebuild if your HTML site isn't — at no extra cost
Modern HTML5/CSS3 rewrite of dated markup (semantic tags, accessibility, CSS Grid)
JavaScript features preserved (sliders, modals, animations) or upgraded to modern equivalents
CMS setup: blog with categories/tags/authors, custom post types for services/portfolio
Contact forms via Fluent Forms, WPForms, or Contact Form 7
WooCommerce setup if you want to add products or services
Full on-page SEO: Rank Math, schema markup, XML sitemap, Open Graph
301 redirects from every old HTML URL — rankings preserved
Image optimization — typical HTML sites cut image weight 50–70%
Core Web Vitals pass (LCP under 2.5s, CLS under 0.1)
SSL/HTTPS setup, daily backup plugin, security hardening
Training video + 14 days of post-launch support

FAQ

HTML to WordPress — frequently asked questions

I have a static HTML website — can you convert it?
Yes — this is our most common and typically fastest migration. Share your HTML files (ZIP, GitHub, or live URL) and we convert every page to WordPress with the design preserved pixel-accurate. HTML migrations are actually the easiest type because there's no platform export to work around — the markup is already there. Most HTML projects finish in 4–7 days.
What if my HTML site is very old or not mobile responsive?
We rebuild it mobile responsive during migration — at no extra cost in Starter and Standard tiers. Old HTML often uses table-based layouts, fixed widths, or dated media queries. We rewrite the layout with CSS Grid/Flexbox for modern responsive behavior, matching the original desktop design while making it work properly on phones and tablets. This is typically the biggest upgrade people feel after conversion.
What happens to my existing Google rankings?
Preserved and often improved. We set up 301 redirects from every old HTML URL (for example /services.html) to the new WordPress URL (/services/). Google reads these redirects and transfers your rankings to the new site. Rankings typically stabilize within 2–4 weeks and often improve over time because WordPress gives us proper SEO tools — schema markup, XML sitemaps, Open Graph, Rank Math — that most static HTML sites never had.
Will my HTML design stay exactly the same?
Yes, pixel-accurate. Every font, color, spacing value, hover state, animation, and responsive breakpoint matches your HTML original. The rare changes you'll notice are improvements — cleaner mobile behavior, faster loading, better accessibility. We flag anything that can't be 1:1 matched in the free audit before we start.
Can you add features my HTML site doesn't have (blog, forms, bookings)?
Yes, and this is usually the biggest win. We set up a proper blog with categories and tags. Contact forms with spam protection and email delivery. Booking systems (Amelia, Simply Schedule Appointments). Ecommerce via WooCommerce. Memberships via MemberPress. Course platforms via LearnDash. Whatever feature your HTML site couldn't support, WordPress has a mature plugin for — usually free.
What if I only have the HTML files and no developer access?
That's fine — and common. You don't need a developer to migrate HTML to WordPress. Just send us the HTML files (or the live URL for us to download from) along with any images, and we handle everything. You'll receive training so you can edit the WordPress version yourself after handoff, without needing to hire a developer again.
My site uses jQuery, Bootstrap, or custom JavaScript. Will that still work?
Yes, preserved or upgraded as appropriate. Bootstrap and Foundation layouts translate cleanly to WordPress themes. jQuery features (sliders, modals, menus, lightboxes) either stay as-is or get replaced with modern WordPress-native equivalents — usually cleaner and faster. Custom JavaScript animations are preserved. We audit all scripts in the free audit and tell you exactly what stays and what gets modernized.
I bought an HTML template from ThemeForest / TemplateMonster / HTML5Up. Can you convert it?
Yes — this is a common scenario. You've got a beautiful template but no real way to manage content in it. We convert the template to a full WordPress theme with your content pre-loaded, a working CMS backend, and all the template's features (sliders, portfolios, animations) intact. You get the design you paid for plus the functionality of a real WordPress site.
How much does HTML to WordPress conversion cost?
Starter tier from $299 (up to 5 pages), Standard from $599 (up to 15 pages with blog/CMS), Pro from $1,299 (unlimited pages, ecommerce, complex templates). Every quote is fixed-scope. The free audit within 24 hours tells you the exact number for your site. Most HTML conversions fall into Standard tier — the sweet spot for typical business brochure sites that need a blog and proper CMS.
How long does HTML to WordPress take?
HTML is our fastest migration type. Small sites (up to 5 pages): 3–4 days. Multi-page sites with blog setup: 5–7 days. Large sites with 20+ pages, ecommerce, or complex template marketplace builds: 10–14 days. Since HTML doesn't have platform export limits to work around, we typically ship HTML conversions 1–2 days faster than equivalent migrations from closed platforms like Wix or Squarespace.
